More than 250 diseases can be contracted through sexual contact and are brought on by a number of factors, including:

  • Germs that cause syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea
  • Viruses that cause AIDS, hepatitis, condyloma, and herpes
  • Trichomoniasis and pediculosis pubis are examples of parasites
  • Syphilis and condyloma are examples of diseases that spread through direct skin-to-genital organ contact. Other diseases spread through contaminated vaginal secretions (gonorrhoea, chlamydia, herpes and AIDS)

STD Testing for Men and Women

Many STD-infected women exhibit no symptoms at all. In contrast to men, women experience substantially longer lags between exposure to the disease’s etiology and diagnosis, increasing their risk of pelvic infection and the spread of the disease to their genitalia. Due to inflammation in the fallopian tubes, women with STDs frequently have episodes of lower abdominal pain, irregularities in fertilization, and ectopic pregnancy (chlamydia, gonorrhea).

What are the symptoms of STD Testing?

Some of the symptoms caused by STDs may go undiagnosed until difficulties arise or symptoms manifest in the sexual partner. Common indications of a sexually transmitted infection include the following,

  • Pimples or ulcers on the mouth, rectum, or genitalia
  • A burning sense when urinating
  • Penial discharge
  • Uncomfortable intercourse
  • Vaginal discharge that is unusual or strange-smelling
  • Severe vaginal bleeding
  • Lymph nodes that are swollen, particularly in the groin
  • Lower abdominal pain
  • Fever
  • Rash on the hands, feet, or back of the body

Types of STD Testing in Dubai

While each STD has its own set of testing, the majority involve:

  • Sample vaginal fluid
